Hello World,
As I sit here and type this I am at work listening to Funny Bunny by The Pillows, http://bit.ly/l2E7I. Pretty much my current favorite song in the world as it always seems to lift my spirits. Not that I feel bad or anything but I am working on New Year’s Eve so any little thing that brings me joy helps...
I felt like I couldn't let 2010 come without at least one post for 2009. If there is one thing I've been able to do with this blog is post an entry at least once a year. And on occasion sometimes more. I am sure the 3 of you reading this are thrilled.
This past year has been somewhat of a failed experiment with the whole Twitter thing. As you can see from the recent entries they've pretty much all been tweets. While my mild mannered alter ego (who shall for now remain nameless, it is a secret identity after all...) has found a moderate following on twitter (100+), Cole Wynter, my super hero writing persona has well... not done quite as well. Maybe if I didn't self censor so much. This technically was supposed to be the point. Dumping my id anonymously onto the net for the world to see without censoring. But like even the best laid plans... well, you know the rest. Admittedly, having a 140 character limit did get me writing more in spurts, but ultimately I probably wasn't doing myself nor you dear reader any favors. I'm half tempted to delete all the tweets from the blog and pretend they never existed. I still might. Especially since they feed down the right hand side of the page now. Peruse at your discretion... or peril. Either or…
So as we stand on the verge of a whole new year I am hoping I can get back to a regular blogging schedule. It certainly hasn’t been for a lack of material. More of a lack of focus. I’ve written about my love\hate, or rather, productive\procrastinating relationship with writing before. I certainly won’t bore you with any of those reasons\excuses again but suffice to say I haven’t given up on the idea on being a successful blogger. Successful in the sense of doing it regularly. Though monetarily would be good too. Just got to figure that whole Google Adwords thing or something like it. But I suppose that could be a topic for another day…
In the meanwhile Happy New Year. Don’t drink too much and especially don’t drive and drink or vis versa. I’ll get at y’all in the new year. 2010 is going to be better for all of us.
Peace,
-Cole-
